Hello!

Alicia Griffith
Owner/Lead Art Instructor
I grew up in a family of artists, surrounded by my Mom's watercolor paints, my Dad's oil paints, my grandparents' and even my great grandfather's paintings. I have studied art throughout my life, both formally in college and extensively in my spare time. I graduated from UC Santa Cruz and also went on to complete Advanced Photography at the Rocky Mountain School of Photography. I have a love of clay, acrylic painting, professional photography, and really all things art.
Professionally, I have taught kids for decades, both in the classroom and in outdoor education settings. I have also worked with teachers doing professional development and implementing hands-on curriculum. Before moving to South Carolina, I worked in Oregon as a full-time professional photographer with a bustling boutique photo studio. And throughout I have always focused on my art.
My husband and I moved to the Upstate in 2012 and had two girls. They are the testers for most art projects before classes! We share our home with two dogs, three cats, a tortoise, a hamster, and enjoy our garden and our busy home art studio. Art classes began at this home studio where my toddlers could easily be with Mom, and it has grown into what you see today. I am so thrilled to be part of the thriving city of Fountain Inn and contribute to the arts community. My mission continually strengthens to create a space where people of all ages can tap into their creativity, dive into learning, and find their happy place. And I am still very focused on being a mom to two very inspired little artists.
