Songbirds in Watercolors

Join Teresa Cywin for a series of watercolor classes designed for beginners and experienced beginners. She has been painting ever since she can remember and has been teaching for the last decade.
We start with transferring images of simple photos of birds to our thick watercolor paper. No need to worry about the drawing process! Then, we learn the basics of watercolor painting from how to combine colors to creating light and shadows. Teresa will give very specific directions on using basic colors, but also give you room for creativity.
Each Saturday's class focuses on creating a different bird: Blue Bird (June 14), Robin (June 28), Red-Headed Barbet (July 12). You will end up with three completed works of art to hang.

Time: 2:00pm-4:00pm
Cost: $64 for each class or $169 for all three (Includes all instruction and supplies)
Ages: adults and children 12+
Supplies: We provide thick watercolor paper, watercolor paints, water containers, palettes and a large selection of brushes. You may want to buy/bring the following soft brushes: One flat 1/4inch brush, one round size 1 and one round size 6 brush.

Relax and paint a classic Bob Ross inspired mountain scene in oil paints. Add a hint of spring colors to our Blue Ridge Mountains to show the seasons changing. (And we are ready for some Spring!)
Bob Ross' mission was to make painting fun and rewarding for everyone. So, whether you've painted before, or you've never touched a brush in your life, these classes will show you that you need only the desire and a few basic tools - ones that Bob Ross developed himself for his unusual method.
Classes are suited for beginners and all levels. You need no previous experience to attend. You'll paint a beautiful Bob Ross Wet-on-Wet Technique scene with Betsy, a Bob Ross Certified Instructor. Betsy gives each student hands-on, individual attention to assure that at the end of your class, you'll go home with your frame-ready painting.
